FY24 marked a major transformation year, with a new CEO, board, and capital raise. With ambitious growth and innovation plans, we aim to enhance the beloved Tinybeans family photo-sharing app further. This maternity cover role will play a crucial part in our journey.

Your Part in Our Mission:

As the Data Analytics Lead, you are responsible for making data available and digestible across the company. Reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll be “on the tools,” providing in-depth analysis and data-driven recommendations that inform our product strategies, audience engagement and growth efforts. Additionally, you will partner closely with product and marketing stakeholders to gather data requirements for projects and work with engineering colleagues to implement solutions for defining, documenting, QA-ing and making insights accessible to the business.

You’ll be responsible for all phases of the analytical lifecycle, from problem definition to sharing findings and providing the business with data-backed recommendations. You will formulate and apply modeling techniques ranging from basic descriptive statistics to more advanced diagnostic analytics to assist the business with problem-solving and decision-making.

This role is ideal for a hands-on analytics professional who thrives in a collaborative and outcome-driven environment. 

Temporary Contract role: Feb 1st 2025 - Nov 14th 2025 (9 ½ months)

What You’ll Be Doing…

  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Conduct deep-dive analysis to inform and support Tinybeans’ growth initiatives, including app development, subscription services, ad sales, and audience engagement.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Develop, deliver and maintain impactful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that transform raw data into meaningful narratives for stakeholders.

  • Business Reporting: Generate timely insights that provide stakeholders with the right visibility on the state of the business and relevant initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key partner to Product, Growth, Finance, and Ad Sales teams, understanding their data needs and providing relevant insights to support their decisions.

  • KPI Management: Define, track, and refine key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and clarity in measuring progress. Support senior business stakeholders in defining expected outcomes from initiatives and measure actual results.

  • Data Exploration: Analyze new data sources to understand source data and create reporting logic.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and easily-understood documentation around our analytics and reporting.

  • Data Quality: Identify, assess, fix, document, consult and communicate quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used.

  • Data Literacy: Increase data literacy in the company and keep up with the latest data-management technologies that will improve the efficiency of our data platform and data usage.

Job requirements

You must have…

  • 4+ years of proven working experience as a Senior Data Analyst, Data Analytics Principal or Data Analytics Lead

  • Exposure working with senior management

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inform stakeholders effectively

  • Expert-level SQL skills

  • Experience in working with Snowflake or similar Data Warehousing tools

  • Experience in working with Tableau, and/or equivalent tools

  • Experience in working with Product Analytics tools, e.g. Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel or equivalent tools

  • Experience in report automation will be a plus

  • Experience working in startups or B2C subscription businesses is highly desirable

  • Experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality implementations/tools, or Data Standardization will be a plus
