Reporting to the Head of Data and Insights, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for making data available and digestible across the company. They proactively ingest, maintain data integrity and synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights meaningful to the business. Additionally, they partner closely with product stakeholders to gather data requirements for projects and work with engineering colleagues to implement solutions for defining, documenting, QA-ing and making accessible data points to the business.
The Senior Data Analyst participates in all phases of the analytical lifecycle, from problem definition to sharing findings and providing the business with data-backed suggestions. They will formulate and apply modeling techniques ranging from basic descriptive statistics to more advanced diagnostic analytics to assist the business with problem-solving, and decision-making.
The Senior Data Analyst is a key component of the analytics and data engineering function in the company. They are the analytics experts for their colleagues and are tasked to educate and empower their colleagues to apply evidence-driven processes to prioritize projects, experiment, and iterate on learnings.
What You’ll Be Doing…
Take over our Tableau (or other similar visualization platforms) setup to design, build, and maintain dashboards to automate reporting and analyses that assist all departments while self-servicing the majority of their BI data needs.
Own the ELT process for data analysis projects. Take over and scale our DBT set up to transform and optimize our analytics pipeline while developing testing scripts to ensure data accuracy. Keep DBT up-to-date with the latest developments and open source packages to optimize our analytics data model
Perform Ad-hoc analyses that help business stakeholders understand Tinybeans’ data and identify areas of opportunity. Use data-oriented programming languages (R and Python)
Maintain comprehensive and easily-understood documentation around our analytics and reporting
Identify, assess, fix, document, consult and communicate quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
Increase data literacy in the company and keep up with the latest data-management technologies to continuously evaluate paid or open-source tools that will improve the efficiency of our data platform and data processes

Maintain and always improve DBT modeling internal best practices
Analyze data to find opportunities to improve user experience and identify critical problems.
Partner with engineering to maintain sustainable, long-term data integrity and accuracy.
Respond in a timely manner to requests and inquiries. Collaborate with the direct manager on priorities and unplanned work

2 +years of proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
Expert-level SQL skills
Experience in working with Snowflake or similar Data Warehousing tools
Experience in working with DBT
Experience in working with Tableau, and/or equivalent tools
Experience in working with Python. Experience in report automation will be a plus
Experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality implementations/tools, or Data Standardization will be a plus
