Your Part in Our Mission:

Reporting to the Controller of Tinybeans, the Staff Accountant will help support all Controllership functions of the Company. The Staff Accountant will work across all departments, liaise with Tinybeans’s accounting and finance partners both internal
and external, and interact with Tinybeans’s Chief Financial Officer to fulfill various analyses and requests. (NYC Office based)


You will …

The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Ownership of accounts receivable, billing, and collection efforts 

● Processing of bank and credit card transactions and reconciliing to statements

● Ownership of selected balance sheet categories, including prepaid expenses and fixed assets
● Assisting with periodic balance sheet packages and controllership dashboards for review with CFO and CEO
● Preparation of journal entries related to the close process in the areas noted above
● Helping to implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures

● Contributing to and supporting the annual audit process with a global external audit firm
● Helping prepare and consolidate various ad hoc analysis, reports, and information requests

Requirements

You must have …

● Bachelor’s degree in accounting

● Pursuit of certified public accountant or chartered accountant certification a plus

● 3+ years of controllership experience

● Technology or SaaS experience a plus

● Proficiency working in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace 

● Outstanding communication and presentation skills

● Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

● Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem solving skills
